MLB Players Trust Fastball Fund – 2022 Disaster Relief & Recovery
Players Trust deploys Fastball Fund to provide up to $300,000 towards disaster relief and recovery efforts
MLB Players have a longstanding history of supporting disaster relief and recovery efforts around the globe. Players are stepping up again to support youth and families recently impacted by Hurricane Fiona and other natural disasters where they live, play, and call home.

Through the Players Trust Fastball Fund, Major Leaguers are providing support to Team Rubicon and Project Hope, two nonprofit organizations aiding in the immediate relief and long-term recovery efforts in Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, and across the Americas.
Each nonprofit will receive a grant of $75,000 to support communities in Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic impacted by Hurricane Fiona – and will also help respond quickly when natural disasters strike underserved communities in the US, the Caribbean, and around the world. Hurricane Fiona continues to move along the Atlantic and both Team Rubicon and Project Hope are carefully watching its tracks and preparing for an additional response.
An additional $150,000 will be deployed to organizations responding to a variety of natural disasters, working on the ground in the hardest hit areas. Players will have an opportunity to work with the Trust to identify nonprofits working locally in communities that reflect where they live and play, where they grew up and call home today.
*The Players Trust Fastball Fund exists to deploy rapid-response grants to nonprofit organizations that provide immediate support to communities in urgent and high need.
