MVP
The Most Valuable Philanthropist award

Nominate yourself (or a teammate) for the impact you have made for the causes and communities you care about.

The MVP award is a distinguished honor acknowledging a Player for his community involvement. Each awardee receives a $5,000 grant to their nonprofit of choice, and an opportunity to win the title of Philanthropist of the Year providing an additional $25,000 grant!

Double-Play Donations
A matching gift program

Elevate your support for the causes and communities meaningful to you.

Trust Ambassadors

Trust Ambassadors are an influential group of Players committed to connecting their teammates within and beyond the clubhouse to the resources and tools offered by the Players Trust.

Ambassadors are some of the first Players to experience and trial new programs and opportunities the Players Trust offers to its fellow members, providing a continuous feedback loop that will help the Players Trust maximize the impact Players will have upon the future of the game and the causes and communities they care about.

Ambassadors serve a one-year term that begins at the start of the season and is renewable for up to 4 years. For more information on how you can become an Ambassador, and the responsibilities and opportunities associated with the position, please contact Amy Hever, Director. (646) 683-1508.

Youth Education & Sports Development

Grow your impact and charitable presence by participating in and deploying our high-quality programs to your communities.  Join more than 60 Players, who have furthered their own charitable impact and recognition by engaging in Legacy Projects, Play Days, STEM League, and the Players Exchange.

Players Exchange New!

The Players Exchange Program, is a collaborative effort by the MLB Players Trust and Level Up Village, is a virtual experience where students partner with classes globally, engaging in teamwork challenges to uncover diverse cultures and values. Guided by MLB players, students develop critical thinking, cross-cultural communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills, fostering compassionate leadership and global citizenship.

MLB Players STEM League

Developed in partnership with the nonprofit Learn Fresh, the MLB Players STEM League introduces middle-school-aged youth to a unique blend of baseball and education. Through a dynamic combination of board games and curriculum, this initiative ignites the excitement of the sport while fostering students' mathematical and social-emotional growth.

Players Legacy Projects

  • a ceremonial first pitch by a local leader to kick off the Play Day

  • on the field skills development for seasoned players as well as introductions to the sport for newcomers,

  • pop-up educational workshops

  • a meal together featuring locally sourced food and entertainment

  • a convening opportunity for local-area civic and social impact leaders, and philanthropists
