The Players Trust began in 1996 as a vehicle for MLB Players to come together as one team using their collective voice to make an impact where it’s needed most. In the last few decades, we have grown and elevated our reach to support the causes players care deeply about while continuing to raise awareness and provide funds for important causes on a global level. As we continue to expand, the cornerstone of the Trust remains at the forefront of everything we do: all MLB Players are passionate about improving the lives of those in need.
Trust is earned by being reliable, credible, accessible, and authentically committed to each other.
Trust is part of our identity. We demonstrate trust through our devotion to our Players’ best interests, and those we serve.
A fraternity is represented by a group of people unified around a shared purpose.
The Players Trust creates unity by building a welcoming and fair community, where everyone who has played the game is a lifelong member, and benefits by being meaningfully connected to the communities they care about most.
