30 Years.

Since 1996, the Players Trust has empowered Major League players to create meaningful change in the causes and communities that matter most to them.

In 2024, the Players Trust expanded its programs and resources to include Minor League players, extending opportunities for players across all levels of professional baseball to give back and make a lasting impact.

Our Programs & Initiatives

Everything we do is informed and inspired by players who are dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of others.

MLB Players STEM League

A baseball-inspired program for middle-school youth, run in partnership with Learn Fresh. The program brings to life the energy of the sport through a board game and curriculum that cultivate students’ math skills.

The program is FREE for youth-development organizations and schools of all types, and helps students build new skills, confidence, and a passion for learning through a fun and engaging program rooted in sport.

Most Valuable Philanthropist & Philanthropist of the Year

The MVP award recognizes Major League players making a meaningful impact through philanthropy — presented six times a season, April through September, with a $10,000 grant to each recipient's charity.

Every MVP nominee is also in the running for Philanthropist of the Year, which sends $25,000 to the winner's chosen cause.

“Thank you to the MLBPA Players Trust for all it does to support players and for this grant to the Gary
Sinise Foundation. The Foundation does incredible work for our veterans, first responders, and their families. You can never do enough for organizations that make such an impact, but this contribution will go a long way toward helping GSF continue its important work and support more people in need.”

“We cannot thank the Players Trust enough for honoring our family with this award and are happy to say the funds are already in great use helping families in need. When we started the foundation, our five-year timeline was to open a ranch and be able to have animals for the local community to interact with. We have worked very hard and will be opening the ranch this next month so that adults from all the local centers in Tennessee can come to the farm any day of the week.”
