Fundraising event to take place in Phoenix in February 2025
NEW YORK, June 14 – The Players Trust today announced that the third annual Playmakers Classic presented by Fanatics will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2025, at 6 p.m. at Warehouse215 in Phoenix.
Proceeds from the Players Trust’s signature fundraising event will support positive sports-based youth development programs across the country and abroad in addition to other charitable initiatives created in partnership with Major League Players.
“We’re excited to celebrate our third Playmakers Classic again in Arizona and recognize the success our partners, players, community leaders and philanthropists have achieved,” said Players Trust Director Amy Hever. “This event powers much of the work that we do and will continue to do across the communities where Players and fans live, play, and call home.”
The evening includes an opportunity to walk the red carpet followed by three hours of entertainment, interactive activities and competitions, and food, wine and spirit tastings. Special guests will include 2024 Major League Players, former Major League Players, and other athletes and entertainment celebrities. The headline musical guest will be announced later this year.
“Fanatics is honored to serve as the presenting sponsor of the Players Trust Playmakers Classic for the third consecutive year,” said Grace Farraj, Vice President, Fanatics Philanthropy & Community Engagement. “Our ongoing partnership with the Players Trust underscores our dedication to relentlessly enhancing the fan experience while promoting sports, inclusion, and community development amongst our global fanbase."
The Players Trust will also be honoring the 2024 Philanthropist of the Year with a formal award presentation. The award is a culmination of the organization’s year-long recognition program highlighting individual Players who demonstrate an altruistic spirit and positive social impact beyond the diamond. The Philanthropist of the Year will be honored with a $25,000 donation to his chosen charity.
For over 25 years, Players have been committed to making a difference by contributing their funding, time, talent and passion to help communities in need and encouraging others to get involved. Through the Players Trust, Players have supported a wide range of programs, granting tens of millions of dollars to make a positive impact on the lives of fans and youth organizations.
Tickets are available starting at $1,000, with sponsorship packages starting at $5,000. To learn more about the Playmakers Classic, including how to make a donation and partnership opportunities, please visit the event page on the Trust website.
